Alexandria, VA - Acting Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Michael Copps offered his view last Thursday that the anti-free speech Censorship Doctrine, also mis-known as the "Fairness" Doctrine is "long gone" and that "it's not coming back." But for the second time in a week, Chairman Copps called those who are concerned about its return "conspiracy theorists" who are engaged in "issue mongering" by "resurrecting the straw man of a bye-gone Fairness Doctrine." Media Research Center (MRC) President Brent Bozell today reminded Chairman Copps of just some of the many members of Congress who have recently called for a return... continue reading

· On March 17, two weeks before his appointment to the advisory council, Knox published a statement on the Human Rights Campaign Web site in reaction to Pope Benedict XVI's remarks concerning condoms and AIDS in Africa. The statement partly reads: "The Pope's statement that condoms don't help control the spread of HIV, but rather condoms increase infection rates, is hurting people in the name of Jesus. ...On a continent where millions of people are infected with HIV, it is morally reprehensible to spread such blatant falsehoods. The pope's rejection of scientifically proven prevention methods is forcing Catholics in Africa... continue reading
President Barack Obama The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington, D.C. 20500-0003 Dear Mr. President, On April 6, you named Harry Knox to your Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. You claim to have created this Council, among other things, to "bring everyone together - from both the secular and faith-based communities." Harry Knox is the hate-filled antithesis of this noble objective. Knox is a virulent anti-Catholic bigot, and has made numerous vile and dishonest attacks against the Church and the Holy Father. He has no business on any Council having to do with faith or religion. We do... continue reading

Alexandria, VA - President Barack Obama has put forward policies representing the most radical government intervention in the free market in American history, with more proposals for even greater government interference on the way. But according to the Media Research Center (MRC), DURING Obama's first 100 days in office the media have steadfastly refused to report this. In fact, rather than challenging the President's radical policies, network news reporters have often celebrated Obama's radical agenda. MRC analysts examined all 852 stories on the Obama administration from January 20 through April 15 on ABC's World News, the CBS Evening News and... continue reading

Alexandria, VA - WARNING: The following contains material that parents may find unsuitable for younger children. It contains material that is apparently wholly appropriate from alleged "journalists" on MSNBC and CNN. Media Research Center President Brent Bozell today reacted to the biased coverage and the egregious language used by CNN and MSNBC in their "news" reports on the over 750 Taxed Enough Already (TEA) Parties. The TEA Parties were held in all fifty states by grassroots Americans concerned for the nation's future given the unprecedented prolific spending by Congress and the Obama Administration. Rather than report the news, the networks... continue reading
