Senior Philanthropic Advisor, South Central Region
David Kulivan is the Senior Philanthropic Advisor, South Central Region, where he fosters relationships with conservative-minded philanthropists and helps make sure they meet their nonprofit investment goals. David focuses on supporters in New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.
“I hope to expand MRC’s support among patriotic donors and inform more people about the vital role MRC plays in America,” David enthuses. “MRC would not exist without its donors. They are the fuel that powers our work.”
David has a soft spot for Johnny Horton’s patriotic anthem, “Battle of New Orleans,” and an affinity for gumbo and jambalaya. And for good reason, he hails from South Louisiana, growing up in New Orleans. Dedicated to the region’s heritage and culture, David ventured just a few miles up the bayou to attend Louisiana State University, where he graduated with degrees in Wildlife and Forestry.
Philosophically, David is a constitutional conservative who remains steadfast in his belief in personal responsibility, individual liberty, limited government, and free-market capitalism. Following his passions, David has dedicated his career to conservative nonprofits. He spent many years working for conservative lobbying groups and consulting firms, plus more than a decade at the National Rifle Association, where he earned the prestigious NRA Outstanding Achievement Award.
“MRC is the tip of the spear in holding the left-wing media accountable,” David affirms. “It is also a force-multiplier in the conservative arena, providing information, insight, and analysis that powers the work of other conservative leaders and voices in America.”
David is married with three lovely children and currently resides in Culpeper, Virginia. He is an avid sportsman whose love for the outdoors has ferried him around the globe, from the swamps of Florida to the plains of South Africa.
